how to make curtains for round windows?
I have two octagon windows and I need to cover them and I need a pattern so that I can make curtains to cover them
Sorry, no such pattern exists…at least not in an octagonal shape. Plus, think of the hardware nightmare! You’ll have to make a template out of poster board or builder’s paper for your window, then cut yourself a frame out of 1/2″ plywood, then staple gathered sheer fabric around your frame and fit it into your window.
The other options would be to use standard floor-to-ceiling drapes which open and close, or use the previous contributor’s idea of window film. You could also have a stained glass made-to-fit, or take a class and make one yourself.
