any professional decorators here ????? need advice?
I shock. sofas brown leather (the back wall is vanilla) NEAR wall is a beautiful brand Ralph lauren blue sky (one wall), followed by cushions that have brown and blue, gold speack. My dilemma is that I do not want too much blue candles and etc. .. So I went to pier one and saw their orange accents and loved it! Would compliment my living room or would u recommend a color different?
OK, I am NOT a professional decorator! But … you have chocolate (hot) and vanilla (hot) and blue sky (do you think cold, neutral) The problem is that you saw the orange, you loved and want to introduce it as a new color in your scheme, no? GO FOR IT! Think … Orange will blend with vanilla and brown, since all are warm … and orange and blue are complementary colors, and will play against each other quite well! Just try to work in the orange in at least 3 places (candles, a throw pillow, perhaps in a artwork?) And I think it will be a great success. Sounds to me like you are very discriminating eye and wonderful taste .. if I you, I trust my own judgments, and at least give it a try. I bet you'll love the results! Good luck to you!
