Whether you live in an apartment house or hiking, a cottage by the sea or a house in town, your living room creates a lasting impression for all who enter. It tells your family and friends If you're formal and elegant or fun-loving and relaxed. It sets the tone for the home and must be a reflection of your personal taste. A living room can be organized in several ways. For some, this space is formal and perfect at all times be seized and used only when guests come calling. For others, it serves as a comfortable family gathering to watch TV, doing homework, or visit. Some have a cozy comfortable to sip tea and curling up with a book.
Cushions make a room comfortable. They are an easy and inexpensive to change the color and accents add texture and warmth of color. Few homes these days have the space for such a perfect (and often unnecessary), part which is being viewed more widely used.
Lighting: Good lighting is key to the success of your decoration. Attractive streetlights with colored shades provide light for the entire room. Table lamps highlight small decorative objects as well as providing focused light for reading, working and studying. Tints for small lamps can match your furniture or be pieces of conversation with a different color and style.
Large areas, such as walls seem better with a lighter color. A darker or contrasting color can be used on a wall for a dramatic effect. Beautiful painting provides pictures and decor "pop" out of context and increasing their intensity. Try to use colors such as fishing hot pink or purple. Or paint with soothing colors such as blue or green. Remember, if you do not like it, you can always paint over it!
The balance of your room by placing large pieces of furniture around your living space. If possible, the high points as libraries and grandfather clocks should be facing each other to keep the room looking unbalanced. Then add more pieces small as tables in areas where they can be practical and attractive. If you have furniture or small decorative objects, group them in odd numbers as one, three or five elements together. Decorating style has evolved to allow a less formal look.
